Welcome to Nxtwork
A note from our founders.
“Our small but mighty group began as a few women coming together to give each other time-saving tips over Sunday brunch. In retrospect, it was more than that. It was a time and place where like-minded women could come together to feed our souls, find and give support and inspiration, learn from one another, grow, or even just take a break from the battlefield and madness we deal with on a daily basis.
As NxtWork evolves and membership grows, we want to keep this spirit of camaraderie. While our mission is certainly to advance the careers of our women+ in the corporate world, we must also actively support one another in our everyday lives. Together, we can solve any problem that comes our way.
Feel free to use our NxtWorking space to ask questions, get feedback, and discover new resources. Looking for an attorney or legal advice, a referral or introduction, answers to finance or tech questions? We’ve got you.
Welcome to NxtWork.

A Battle Worth Fighting
At our current pace, it will take US executive teams 29 years to reach gender parity.
Worldwide, women+ hold just 16.9% of Board seats, 5.3% of Board Chair positions, and 4.4% of CEO roles. That’s nowhere near enough.

We continue to be paid less than our male counterparts. In the US, women+ are typically paid 82 cents for every dollar a man makes across all racial and ethnic groups in the US. Again, not nearly enough.
The pay gap is more significant for WOC. For every dollar paid to a white non-Hispanic man, a woman+ earns…
- Asian: 87 cents
- White: 79 cents
- Black: 63 cents
- Native American: 60 cents
- Latina: 55 cents
That means by age 65, the average woman will have lost $431,000 over her working lifetime. Women+ saving less for retirement, which leaves them more susceptible to risk of outliving their assets.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made matters worse. More than 860,000 women+ dropped out of the labor force in September 2020 alone.
Over 49,000,000 children depend on women’s salaries and women are breadwinners in more than 50% of households. The wage and opportunity gaps hurt families, communities, and the entire economy.
No more excuses. No more lip service.
